Events

These are organised events where you can participate in "Unplugged" activities.

Tim has just returned from an "Unplugged" tour in parts of the US and Canada.

In the press

The "Indy Star" featured a writeup on Tim's workshop in Indianapolis in October, 2006. The writeup was done by Ben Dorson (16) Jeff Hou (12) and Ariana Gainer (12) from Y-Press.

Kidsfest

Computer Science Unplugged is regularly presented as part of KidsFest in Christchurch, New Zealand. This takes place in the July school holidays.

The show is an action-packed, zany time exploring some of the neat ideas in computer science. Bookings are essential for these shows as they sell out early; see the the information on the Kidsfest website or brochure for details. Take a look at our photo gallery!

If you need directions, here is a map of the campus.

Teacher Training Workshops

Several teacher training workshops have been held at New Zealand universities.

The workshop focusses on enrichment and extension material for classes of all ages (new entrants to high school), and explores Computer Science in a fun way without using computers! Each participant receives a free copy of the new "Unplugged" book written by teachers for teachers. The book normally sells for $30.

If you are interested in attending a training workshop, please e-mail us to find out when the next one will be held near you.
